Second Undergraduate Degree

Criteria

A second undergraduate degree at De La Salle University is open to applicants who meet all the criteria below:

  1. Must be a graduate of De La Salle University-Manila;
  2. Must have earned first undergraduate degree within the last three (3) years;
  3. Must not have had any failure in any course/subject in the first undergraduate degree; and
  4. Must have a Grade Point Average of at least 2.500 in the first undergraduate degree.

Policies

The following policies apply to students on their second undergraduate program:

  1. A maximum of 50% of the courses/subjects taken in the first undergraduate degree may be credited towards the second undergraduate degree.
  2. Enrollment must be for at least six (6) consecutive terms to earn a second undergraduate degree.
  3. Shifting to another program is not allowed.
  4. No failing grade must be incurred in the first term.
  5. The student is disqualified from earning academic awards upon graduation.

Requirements

  1. Application letter addressed to the College Admissions Committee, stating the reason(s) for applying for a second undergraduate degree at DLSU.
  2. Original Transcript of Records with Date of Graduation.
  3. Letter of Recommendation from Dean/Chair of the college/department of the first undergraduate degree.
  4. Certificate of Good Moral Character from the Discipline Office.

Procedures

  1. The applicant must submit the requirements to the College Admissions Office (CAd) for preliminary screening within the period posted at http://www.dlsu.edu.ph/admissions/cad/timetable.asp
  2. If the applicant passed the preliminary screening, an interview will be scheduled with the Vice Dean.
  3. If the applicant passes the interview, a Certificate of Acceptance will be issued by the Vice Dean to the applicant. The applicant must submit the Certificate of Acceptance to the College Admissions Office.
  4. The College Admissions Office releases the following forms for the applicant to accomplish:
    • Statement of Responsibilities;
    • Non-Fraternity Waiver Contract;
    • Parent/Guardian On-Record form
  5. The applicant submits the following to the College Admissions Office on or before the deadline for payment of the non-refundable confirmation/reservation fee of P5,000.00.
    • Enrollment forms
    • Transfer Credentials (formerly Honorable Dismissal)
    • Original copy of birth certificate (in NSO paper)
    • Clearance from the Office of Student LIFE (for international students only)
  6. After all requirements are submitted, an enrollment date will be assigned to the applicant.
  7. After enrollment, the applicant must present the Official Receipt for payment of tuition and fees to the College Admissions Office to secure the forms for ID picture-taking and physical exam.
