De La Salle University – Taft Campus is about four kilometers away from Manila’s city hall and is easily accessible by public transportation. Along this kilometer radius are situated other colleges and universities, a sports center complex, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, the Cultural Center of the Philippines complex, a row of four-and-five-star hotels, restaurants, shopping and entertainment centers, as well as main feeder roads. The rest of Metropolitan Manila and its environs are easily accessible by private or public transportation.
The university is also served by Manila’s Light Rail Transit (LRT) which hastens the travel time of commuters. The proximity of the LRT stations (Pablo Ocampo Avenue [formerly known as Vito Cruz Ave.] – Quirino Avenue) to the university facilitates traveling via LRT.
The programs that are offered in the campus are: Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science in Computational Finance (MSCF) and Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM).
In school year 1997–1998, the Graduate School of Business (GSB) opened an extension campus at La Salle Green Hills to address the demand for graduate education in the Ortigas business district. Students come from San Juan, Mandaluyong City, Quezon City, Caloocan City, Pasig City, Marikina City, Antipolo City and from as far as Central and Northern Luzon. The Green Hills campus provides graduate students within these areas a convenient and closer venue to study, and reduces their travel time and cost.
Enrollment at LSGH has grown at rates beyond expectations. Today, excluding RCBC campus students, one-third of DLSU’s MBA students are enrolled at the LSGH campus. Only the MBA program of the GSB is offered in this campus.
In school year 2001–2002, GSB opened yet another extension campus, this time at RCBC Tower, the first vertical development to be granted an IT zone status and the most prestigious address along Ayala Avenue in the Makati Central Business District.
The campus was set-up for students who are working in the Makati offices. The program that are offered in this campus are: Masters in Business Administration – Juris Doctor (MBA-JD), MBA, and MSCF. The campus houses almost half of the MBA student population.
The Canlubang campus was established in partnership with and upon the invitation of De La Salle (DLS)-Canlubang, which was interested in offering an MBA program in its area. Instead of formulating and putting up its own MBA program, it recognized the history, capability, and strength of DLSPS-GSB to bring its MBA program to its campus. In turn, DLSPS-GSB recognized the potential demand of the area around DLS-Canlubang for La Sallian MBA education, specifically the growth areas in Laguna, Cavite, and Batangas. Many economic zones and industrial parks for multi-national corporations and large domestic corporations are located in the provinces.
The DLSPI-GSB opened its Indonesia Campus in Bandung, Indonesia, in September. The project is in partnership with Maranatha Christian University, a leading academic institution in Indonesia. As in the case of the Canlubang Campus, the said invitation and partnership recognizes the history, capability, and strength of DLSPS-GSB in producing MBA Graduates who are knowledgeable of the real world, have a global outlook, and are socially responsible stewards of business.
