Ms. Pia Manalastas Chairperson


Pia T. Manalastas is an Assistant Professor in the Management and Organization Department. Previously, she held several administrative positions in the Ramon V. del Rosario Sr. Graduate School of Business, De La Salle Professional Schools, Inc., including Vice-Dean and chair of the International Business Department. She current teaches Lasallian Business Leadership, CSR and Ethics in the MBA program. In previous terms, she has taught Business Communications, Ethics, Family, and Work-Life Harmony, Sustainable Development, Social Responsibility and Human Rights, Environmental Management, Organizational Behavior and Processes, and Global Corporate Citizenship.

Prior to joining the academe, she was an Environmental and Energy Policy Analyst at Energetics, Inc. in Washington, DC. She has consulting experience that covers a wide range of energy and management issues, including Energy Auditing, Strategic Planning for Energy Efficiency, and Energy Forecasting and Modeling.

She is also a published writer, having contributed a chapter to the book, Doing Good in Business Matters: CSR in the Philippines, and articles and columns to Business World, Manila Standard Today, Manila Times, and Metro Working Mom.

Ms. Manalastas is finishing her Doctor in Business Administration degree at the De La Salle University. She has an MBA, major in International Business and an M.A. in Public Policy, major in Environmental and Natural Resources Policy from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and a B.S. in Management from the Ateneo de Manila University.


Ms. Ma. C.P. Assumpta C. Marasigan
Vice-Chairperson


Ma. C. P. Assumpta C. Marasigan is an Assistant Professor in the Management and Organization Department. Previously, she held several administrative positions in the Ramon V. del Rosario Sr. Graduate School of Business, De La Salle Professional Schools, Inc. (DLSPSI), including Vice-Dean of the Taft Campus and Registrar of DLSPSI. She teaches Business Communication and Lasallian Business Leadership, Ethics, and Corporate Social Responsibility in the DLSU MBA program, and Business Communication and Management of Organizations in the undergraduate programs. Her research interests are workplace spirituality, management, and sustainability reporting.

Prior to joining academe, she was a Consultant at the Manila Solution Center of Andersen Consulting (now Accenture Phils.). She has experience in preliminary systems design, detailed design, and implementation of custom systems in the UNIX, IBM and CSP/F5 environments. Her clients include Fujitsu Philippines, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Banc One (Columbus, Ohio), and Pacific Gas & Electric Company (San Francisco, California). She also worked as a Technical Staff at the Strategic Services Division of Andersen Consulting. Her clients include the Board of Investments, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc., and Pepsi Co.

Ms. Marasigan has also contributed to columns in Business World and Manila Standard Today.

Ms. Marasigan is finishing her Doctor in Business Administration degree at De La Salle University. She has an MBA, major in Business Management (with high distinction), from De La Salle University. Her degrees in A.B. Communication Arts and B.S. Commerce major in Accounting are also from De La Salle University. She placed 14th in the May 1987 Certified Public Accountancy Exams.


Dr. Divina Macalinao Edralin


Dr. Edralin is a full professor at the Management and Organization Department of the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business (RVR-COB) of De La Salle University. She is currently the Vice Dean for Research and Graduate Studies of the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business (RVR-COB). She earned her Master in Industrial Relations from the University of the Philippines and her Doctor of Management from De La Salle University.

Her areas of expertise and research interests include human resource management, entrepreneurship, collective bargaining, and labor issues. She is the author of the following books: “Business Research: Concepts and Applications, 3rd edition” under DLSU Press, Inc. and “Human Resource Management Practices: Concepts and Applications” under Abiva Publishing. Her works had been published in the DLSU Business and Economics Review, the Journal of Women Studies, the Asia Pacific Business Review, the Asian Journal of Technology Innovation, and the LCCM Research Journal.

Edralin is currently a management consultant for Thaiairways, Scentimentals Incorporate, and Labor Education Research Network. She is also currently a research consultant for La Consolacion College Manila. She was named as the Outstanding Educator in Management by the Philippine Council of Deans and Educators in Business (PCDEB) in 2003.


Dr. Ma. Andrea L. Santiago


Dr. Santiago is a Full Professor at the Management and Organization Department (MOD) of the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business (RVR-COB) of De La Salle University (DLSU). She earned her Doctor of Business Administration from DLSU. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Her research interests include human resources management, leadership, higher education, sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Her articles were published in several journals such as the Family Business Review, The Asia-Pacific Education Researcher, Energy Policy, Electricity Journal, Philippine Management Review, and the International Journal of Education Policy and Leadership. She has contributed many chapters to published books such as “Entrepreneurship and Sustainability: Business Solutions for Poverty Alleviation around the World” and “Father-Daughter Succession in Family Business: A Cross-Cultural Perspective” to name a few.

Santiago is renowned for her professional practice that includes being a Managing Director for Total HR Solutions Inc. An expert in Human Resources, she was a consultant for numerous organizations such as Eastern Telecommunications Philippines, XL Steps Management, Amrop International, International Communications Company, and Bayantel. Part of her full-time employment experiences include being part of Tahanan Mutual Building and Loan Association, ZMG Ward Howell International, Globe Telecom, and SGV & Company. She was also part of the Office of the President of the Philippines from 1987 to 1992.

Part of Santiago’s leadership in professional organizations include being the current Head for Research and Publications of the Philippine Academy of Management. She is a member of various institutions as well such as the National Research Center of the Philippines, the International Family Enterprise Research Academy, the Entrepreneurial Educator’s Association, the Family Firm Institute, and the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In 2011, the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) recognized Dr. Santiago’s chapter authorship in the NAST Outstanding Book.


Dr. Benito L. Teehankee


Dr. Benito L. Teehankee is a Full Professor in the Management and Organization Department of the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business, De La Salle University. He teaches courses in strategic management, corporate governance, action research, and ethics.

His publications include "Towards a common good model of the firm" with Sauler & Abueg in the DLSU Business and Economics Review (2014); "Tracing the history of the triple bottom-line paradigm for business success" in Rethinking business: Responsibility and sustainability; Governance and finance (2014), "Workplace spirituality" in Understanding the Filipino Worker and Organization (2014); "Institutionalizing faith-based management education in a Catholic university" in the Journal of Catholic Higher Education (2013); "Humanistic Entrepreneurship" in the Asia-Pacific Social Science Review (2009); "Why should corporations be socially responsible?" in Doing Good in Business Matters (2008); and "Corporate governance" in Essentials of investments in the Philippine capital market ( 2011).

He was awarded a Special Citation for Best Business Column by the Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) in 2009 for his article in The Manila Times' Managing for Society column. In 2013, he was awarded by the Financial Executives of the Philippines (FINEX) and Deloitte as Outstanding Educator in a Finance-Related Field: Special Award for Corporate Governance Studies.

He has served as speaker or consultant to various private, government, and educational organizations including Globe Telecom, PLDT, Siemens, Andersen Consulting, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, World Health Organization, Bureau of Food and Drugs, Department of Health, and the Department of Interior and Local Governments, among others.

He is a member of the Board of Trustees of University of San Carlos; Shareholders Association of the Philippines (where he chairs the Research Committee); and the Philippine Academy of Management. He is a member of the Ethics Committee of the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Association of the Philippines (PHAP). He serves the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as member of the Technical Committee on BSBA and Entrepreneurship Education, and the Technical Working Group on Institutional Sustainability Assessment.

Internationally, he is a governing member of the International Humanistic Management Association and the Action Research Plus Network. He is a member of the Academy of Management.


Dr. Raymund B. Habaradas


Dr. Habaradas teaches Management Research, Business Organization and Management, Management Principles and Dynamics, Organization Theory, and Human Behavior in Organizations at the Management and Organization Department of De La Salle University (DLSU). He received both his Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degrees from the same university.

Habaradas has done several research projects funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), USAID, World Bank-ASEM, and the International Labor Office (ILO). His research outputs are in the areas of corporate social initiatives, national innovation systems, city innovations, innovation of firms, upgrading in global value chains, and SME development. He has published in internationally-refereed journals such as the Asian Journal of Technology Innovation, the International Journal of Business and Social Sciences, the Journal of International Business Research, the Journal of Legal, Ethical and Regulatory Issues, and the DLSU Business and Economics Review.

Among his published works is a chapter in the book Production Networks, Industrial Adjustment, Institutions and Policies, and Regional Cooperation, which was cited by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) as Most Outstanding Book in 2011. He has also written articles for opinion columns in Business World, Manila Bulletin, Manila Standard Today, and Manila Times.

Habaradas is the current Director of the DLSU Center for Business Research and Development (CBRD). He previously served as Director of the DLSU Center for Professional Development in Business and Economics (CPDBE), as Deputy Executive Director of the DLSU-Angelo King Institute for Economics and Business Studies, and as Director of the Institutional Communication Office of DLSU. He was also one of the recipients of the Asian Public Intellectuals (API) Fellowship Program of the Nippon Foundation in 2007.

Dr. Maria Victoria P. Tibon


Dr. Tibon is an Associate Professor and Graduate Studies Coordinator of the Management and Organization Department of the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business of De La Salle University. She has been teaching for more than 10 years including courses in statistics, research methods, economics, management, entrepreneurship, business ethics and computer applications for business. Aside from DLSU, she has taught in St. Scholastica’s College as well. Prior to teaching, she worked in various sales, business development and marketing posts in telecom, travel and real estate companies.
Her research interests are in tourism, entrepreneurship, sustainable business, governance, quality and innovation. Her works have been published in peer-reviewed journals, including American International Journal of Contemporary Research, Journal of Asia Pacific Business Innovation and Technology Management, Journal of International Business Research, International Journal of Entrepreneurship, International Journal of Business and Management and the DLSU Business and Economics Review. Dr. Tibon completed her AB Economics (cum laude) at the University of Asia and the Pacific, her Master of Business Administration at the University of the Philippines-Diliman and her Doctor of Business Administration (with distinction) at De La Salle University. She is a member of the Philippine Statistical Association and Academy for Entrepreneurship.

Atty. Frances Jeanne Sarmiento


Atty. Sarmiento is an Assistant Professor at the Management and Organization Department (MOD) of the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business (RVR-COB) of De La Salle University (DLSU). She teaches Human Behavior in Organization and Management of Organizations. Prior to joining DLSU, she was Vice-President for Finance and Administration at the Philippine Normal University. Aside from her legal practice, she also served in various government agencies including the National Book Development Board, the Board of Investments, the Department of Health, and the National Economic Development Agency.

Atty. Sarmiento is finishing her Ph.D. in Development Studies from DLSU. She graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Social Science and a Master of Arts in Demography. She earned her Master of Business Administration degree from the Ateneo de Manila University and her Bachelor of Laws degree from Arellano University. She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2010.

Ms. Shieradel V. Jimenez


Ms. Shieradel Jimenez is a full-time teaching associate. She teaches Management of Organization and Human Behavior in Organization at the Management and Organization Department of the Ramon V. del Rosario College of Business. She received both her Master of Business Management and BA Political Science degrees from the University of the Philippines, Manila. Her research interests include cooperatives, business ethics, and MSME resiliency.
