Abstract: “The European Union works on a variety of frameworks, projects, and policies that aim to address the Roma issue. These actions are rooted upon the EU charter and the concept of human rights. Even within the foundations of the EU and European membership, particularly the Copenhagen Criteria, it can be said that the EU has certain provisions for minorities including the Roma. This research focuses on the efficiency of these provisions by looking at the results in Romania and France”.
