DLSU Robotics Camp-2
Duration: 18 Hours | Php P3,950
This second run of the Camp for 2008 is intended for those who were not able to join the first offering last May 15-17. The Camp's main goal is to generate interest in science and technology through robotics among participants and to promote values such as cooperation and teamwork that are indispensable in the workplace as well as in the community. Major topics include basic electronics, robot physics, kinematics, sensors, circuits and C programming. The training is specially designed for those who are starting out in robotics as a hobby and for those who are already hobbyists and intend to learn more about robotics. The Camp is open to three categories of participants: (1) elementary grades 5-7 students, (2) high school students, (3) college students and hobbyists. Participants will be grouped according to their background or training and expertise in the field of robotics. The course fee will cover training materials, participation in the robotics competition on July 26, lunch and snacks for the duration of the Camp.
Robotics Competition 2009
Duration: 3 Hours | Php 500/Php 100

The competition is open to three categories of participants:
The participants for the first two categories will compete using wheeled robots that they will program to do line following, maze exploration and at least one difficult path traversal that will require the use of all available sensors of the robot. Participants for the third category will compete using a robot that they will assemble from a list of robot parts. Both helpful features of a wheeled robot and a biped may be built in to the assembled robot. The main task for the robot is to traverse a complex path. Both speed of task completion and the low count of robot parts will be considered by the judges to decide the winners.
Competition and Viewing Fees 
The competition fee of P500 allows only one robot entry by one participant or group. Non-competing observers are required to pay a viewing fee of P100 per person. All non-competing viewers will also be required to submit an registration form.
Free Viewing
Public elementary and high school students and teachers can observe the event for free. Only one parent or guardian of a public elementary student who is observing the event will be allowed free entry. All participants in the other robotics courses held in 2008 and 2009 before the competition date can also view the competition for free.
Prizes at Stake
Robots, Robot parts and accessories, and scholarships/discounts in CEC's short courses await winners in the competition.
This track is for professionals and students who would like to learn more about office automation and the Internet.
PC Assembly, Troubleshooting and Networking

Through this course, participants gain all the necessary knowledge and
skill to build, maintain, repair and interconnect desktop computers as a
network to allow the sharing of files and the common use of I/O
resources such as printers.

AutoCAD

The course will enable the student to learn computer-aided design and
drafting through the AutoCAD system. Topics include basic operation, use
of tools and employment of various techniques including layouts and

Web Development

After completing the course, participants are expected to be able to develop their own web-based applications. Web Development is broken down into client-side processing and server-side processing. Client-side processing will focus on the use of JavaScript and Dynamic HTML. Server-side processing will apply the request-response paradigm to the JSP and PHP platforms. IT Fundamentals with PC Assembly

This is the first of a number of training courses that cater to students who cannot attend regular sessions at the DLSU Taft, Manila campus. The complete package includes 10 training DVDs, one month of unlimited email consultation with a trainer and a DLSU certificate that can be earned by passing a comprehensive exam. Topics covered include an introduction to computers, I/O devices, storage, operating systems, application software, programming languages, data communication, security, ethics and privacy. An instructional video on PC assembly is also included. The Confirmation Form is required for the purchase of the complete package.
