The College of Business and Economics, in consonance with the Lasallian values of Religio, Mores, and Cultura, and the tradition of academic excellence of De La Salle University, is committed to the continuous pursuit of excellence in undergraduate business education responsive to the needs of national development.
Through its innovative and creative programs, the College dedicates itself to the training of students to become professional business leaders imbued with moral values and receptive to the changing demands of technology.
Its philosophy is symbolized by a triad of R's: Reputable in Business Education, Research-oriented in their professions, and Responsive in meeting the needs of Philippine society.
The College trains its students to become professional business leaders who are receptive to the changing demands of technology and who can, at the same time, give a sense of morality to the world of business. Students, therefore, acquire diverse knowledge involving subjects in the humanities and liberal arts as well as subjects related to commerce. Students can specialize in any of the seven (7) areas offered: Accountancy, Business Management, Legal Management, Management of Financial Institutions, Marketing Management, Advertising Management, and Economics.
Students who wish to acquire extensive background in both the fields of business and economics can pursue a double-degree program which combines a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or Bachelor of Science in Commerce, major in any of the other business programs or Bachelor of Arts major in Economics with major in any of the other business programs. This double-degree program provides students with a theoretical as well as empirical exposure to economics, blended with the practical orientation of the tools in business analysis, management science, accountancy, finance, law, and marketing.
The best evidence of the high quality of De La Salle Business and Economics Program is the large number of its graduates who have assumed top-level positions in Philippine business and industry, and who have helped make the country more self-reliant by contributing to its economic growth.
